The Kiwanis Club of LaPorte

90 Years of Service to the LaPorte Community

Founded in 1921, the Kiwanis Club of LaPorte is one part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one community and one child at a time. The Kiwanis Club of LaPorte performs many community service projects in LaPorte to help serve children, locally, nationally and abroad. Below are just a few of the ways to serve others, and raise funds to do so. If you are interested in performing community service and helping children in LaPorte, we encourage you to learn more about the Kiwanis Club of LaPorte here on our site and welcome you to join us for a meeting. Check our Information page or Calendar of Events for information about our meeting day, time and place.

What do we do in our community? (here are just a few of the ways)

  • Deliver Meals on Wheels helping nourish our neighbors
  • Organize and volunteer for the annual Santa Parade
  • Honor our farming friends with a special Ag Day meeting
  • Ring the Bell for the Salvation Army
  • Support our youth with academic and camp scholarships

How do we raise funds for our service projects?

  • Pancake Breakfasts (yum)
  • Peanut Days
  • Radio Days
  • Annual golf outing
  • Annual 4th of July 5k Kiwanis Fun Run

While all of these projects focus on serving others, ask any Kiwanian about how great these projects and fund raisers make them feel.  A Kiwanian's personal return on time invested is one of the best parts of being a Kiwanian. Come join us!
